I have used it a few times with Hallertau Blanc and got very good IPA sort of a beer. Very noticeable Melon notes to me.

From Worcester Hop shop - it was initially part of a giveaway offer in 35g bags. I use 35g each of HM and HB for 10m and 0m additions (half of each, twice). Any hop for bittering - have used Flyer, for instance.

I've used it a couple of times and find I get more strawberry aroma rather than melon, although that is there too. Last time I used a bit of honey malt in with the pale malt and that worked well.

I just got a pack of these in a parcel from the LHBS alongside 4 other packets of hops. Couldnt pass the 3 euro price without considering a super cheap single hopped pale ale to keep me watered.

Checked it out on learn.kegerator.com website and they mention a few single hopped beers with this hop

  • Bursted Single Hop Series from El Segundo Brewing Company (USA)
  • Melon Smash from Jagged Mountain Brewing Company (USA)
  • Hull Melon Single Hop from Whitstable Brewery (UK)
  • SHIPA Hull Melon from Kehrwieder Kreativbrauerei (Germany)
Anyone ever come across the Whitstable Brewery one?
