21 litres of Nutty Rauchbrown ready for bottling

plus a couple of kit brews of my sons for pressies for his friends ( APA and IPA )

Storage capacity is now full !

Oh and one case of various bottled kit beers all over 5 months old

Christmas brews are all completed now. when last of beers are in bottles I will be stripping everything down and giving it all a big clean and sterilise everything.
Hopefully new boiler and bench to be acquired for start of new season, depending on the generosity of Christmas donations... :D
My current boiler will be used as hlt

20 odd 300ml bottles of Brewferm Christmas (plus a few bottles, just for me, of last year's batch)
40 odd 500ml bottles of Ritchies Festival Pride of London Porter which got sampled last night. :drunk: It's got some legs, it stole mine!

110 500ml bottles of a 9% heavy
110 500ml bottles of a 7% Bitter
180 330ml bottles of 2012 8.5% Elderberry stout

hopefully get in another 55L of 7.5% Pale ale and 55L of Oatmeal Stout as I still have bottle capacity.

and in reserve 60L of cider and 50 bottles of Beaverdale Cab Sauv.

Still need a bottle of malt though.

Good point! How can one be hospitable without a Christmas bottle!?!?! Waitrose are usually good for malt deals this time of year... :thumb:

I've got:

30x500ml Coopers Stout
10x500ml Coopers APA
10x500ml Dark Ale (extract brew)
15x500ml Exmoor Gold
16x1L Coopers Cervesa
5x500ml and 1 full corny of Brown Porter

4x750ml of rosè WOW
6x750ml of white pineapple and grapefruit WOWish
6x750ml of rosè pineapple and grapefruit WOWish
6x750ml of orange and vanilla honey mead

So about 110 pints of beer and 26 bottles of wine in total. I've also got 4 gallons of TC maturing but that won't be in time for xmas.

Not too bad since starting brewing in June...

I've got a bit of a collection of malts and spirits, so I'm good there, but I fully agree - Crimbo needs a malt!

lots of brewing in the last few weeks to get some stocks ready..

54l of spiced Xmas beer
54l of stout
54l of best bitter

that should do it, although best get some more on for after :thumb:

you drink too much Simon......... :D :D :D

Don't you bloody start! ;) I have enough brew related "interesting discussions" with SWMBO!!!!! Hence last weeks overnight mash!

"Hello, my name is Simon and I'm a brewing addict" there I feel much better

I don't go out drinking in pubs with mates any more due to work/family life.
I drink 3x500ml bottles on a Fri,Sat evening and then a couple on Sunday while cooking dinner not a huge amount by any means.
Considering how much I used to tip down my throat after playing rugby in my early 20's :drink:
Think I'm going to count how many shoes and handbags she has for our next brew related chat lol!

40 x 500ml bottles of Better Brew IPA and thats it.
Hopefully i'll have another 40 pints of a cascade smash to add to that if i get my AG brewday sorted for the 24th/25th.

So far:

30 x 500ml Smoked Maple Syrup Marzen
35 x 500ml Black IPA
30 x 330ml 2012 Barley Wine 8.5%
10 x 330ml 2011 Barley Wine 10.2%
20 x Ginger beer
20ish x Odds and Sods of dwindled stocks - red IPA, Imperial IPA, Imperial Stout

4 x Spiced Apple Wine
5 x Dandelion Wine

Collection of Malts

Still trying to think what to brew this weekend though as my Keg is nearly empty.....any ideas? I want something winterish that conditions quite quickly but not too spiced, strong or heavy?

I just need to get that first AG done so i know how long it takes and so can sell it to SWMBO.
Then i'll be off and hopefully brewing every 2 to 3 weeks as i spend on average £30 a month on beer so that equates to 2 to 3 brewdays every month on a monetary basis.

All i need to do is explain to SWMBO that i could do 2 brew days a month and still save £10 a month so we're both winners.

will someone explain for me?

Quite happy with what I've got this year...

20 Bottles of Cabernet Shiraz
17 Bottles of Pinot Grigio
4 Bottles WOW
4 Bottles Ribena Rose
30 Bottles Bud Lime MK2
35 Bottles Coopers European Lager
18 Bottles Raspberry Delight Cider
5 Bottles Random TC

I've also got a few brews maturing. I doubt they will be ready or required though.

1 Gallon Ribena Rose MK2
1 Gallon Extremely Random TC
1 Gallon Welches White Wine
5 Gallons Turbo Cider
I've also got a gallon of Ribena Rose MK2 maturing along with a gallon of really random TC

£30 is going to get you what? Tesco have 4 for £6. That's 20 bottles.

My hooky clone cost a tenner and I think I'll bottle 20 litres - 40 bottles. So £30 = 120 bottles - 100 bottles more than your £30 gets you in the supermarket. With each supermarket bottle costing £1.50 you have just saved £150 by having 3 brewdays.

Easy peasy... :thumb:

It's easy (if you're brave), you just repeat it mantra-style everytime *any* disparaging comment is made towards brewing...
