For a 5g batch I take a sterile 500ml pet bottle and fill it to just under half with the shaken up slurry from the bottom of the FV then put the lid on and put it to one side. When the new wort is ready I fill the bottle to 3/4, give it a gentle shake and pour it in the FV. I use a packet of yeast and then use the trub once on a new brew and then use fresh yeast on the next brew. I've done this five or six times now and the re-used trub goes off better than the dry yeast.
