hi all Bit of a noob question but here goes. I use Richies cleaner/sterilising solution. and it says rinse well after use. Now this is confusing to someone with a very poor sense of smell but how much is enough. Take my fv for instance i put 3 to 4 teaspoon fulls of solution in the fv fill 10 litres of hot water and swirl it around now and then for 15 minutes then i empty it out and fill it all the way up with cold water empty then fill it half way up with cold water again and empty. As i say i have very poor sense of smell but have a go anyway and can never smell anything. Back to the question. How much is enough.

Im going to have to invest in some of this no need to rinse stuff. It will save time and save my water metre from whizzing around.

what your doing is fine,
sterilise, and make sure all surfaces are wetted. leave for 20 mins, pour away, half fill vessel with clean water rinse and rub it around all surfaces, pour away
drain it until your ready to use, then swill round with a bit of clean water and pour away. Use .
If you have got some no rinse solution I give it a squirt and swill round before I start fermenting.
