I wanted to try a few clones this year and the Punk is one. With a known outcome (the original) as the goal it’s helping me to understand the effect of hop timings and water additions. A few iterations of the Punk and I do rather like the latest one. They’re never identical to the original but that’s ok. The Moretti is kind of alright. The right yeast is the problem and I’ve not been able to get close enough. Will send you the grain bill I used. Quite simple. It’s not exactly Moretti though but still a nice drop. That's a very worthy list. :hat:
Punk IPA figures frequently. Is it a favouite?
How did the Birra Moretti turn out? I'd be glad of a recipe if you're willing to share. Ended up with 5 Kg of Italmalt Pilsner and some other bits and pieces to try to offset the outrageous delivery costs of 450g of a hop I could only find in Italy (Mistral, an Alsace hop) and I'd rather like to do something Italian with it.
Yes I know I could mill it to flour and make a pizza!
