How long will my cider last?

Hello,

I recently made the 'magnum' cider homebrew kit, and was wondering how long it will keep. It's all bottled, and mostly in a fridge.

Well the stupid answer which a question like this is bound to attract is that it will keep for as long as you can leave it alone.

The sensible answer is that it will keep for as long as you can leave it alone up to a maximum of a year or so, but will probably be at its best after a couple of months.
