Hi all and a happy new year.

I have had 40 pints of bitter in a barrel which since mid November i have been supping the odd pint for over a month now i would imagine i have 25 to 28 pints left. It's just getting to the stage were a sparklet is due. My question is do i gas the whole sparklet in one go or a little at a time and how long will the gas last. And thirdly how long will the beer keep.

hi , beer will keep long enough for you to drink it as long as you keep the blanket of co2 gas over it .....just use enough gas to get your pint out..........you will get gas release from your beer also as it absorbs the co2 ...... expect to use a bulb or 2 as you quaff more beer!!

also the length of time between drawing your pints will determine how much gas you use, quick drinking quick gas.......hope this helps :thumb:

Thanks for the advice guys.

It's the first time i have used sparkletts and i did not know what to expect. I did not know if when you screwed the sparklet in only a little gas went in or the full bulb. Anyway i found out the full bulb injected.
Hope this makes sense as I'm onto my third already

Lol it's the only one i could find that would be accepted. All the other more reasonable ones i picked were either to big in frame size or whatever it was and would not fit. A computer buff I'm not
Them days are over for me :D
