Hi there, im quite new to home brewing and was wondering if beer or cider kept in a pressure barrel will keep as long as in bottles? Its just ive been offered a few and its more convenient than bottling. Is there risk of spoiling the barrel if i had a few pints here and there over say 4 months?Thanks

Should last 4 months without problem but beer will last longer in good bottles kept in the dark maybe a year or so.
I use both, generally put up 10/15 bottles and stash away for a while and the remainder of the 23L into a PB for day to day consumption.

Hi as I make real cider with cider apples a barrel will keep for some time possible 12months drinking 3or 4pints a time but the longer you keep it there is some spoilage with taste a little hard but just add a dash of lemonade as for the chemical/ turbo I have no info :
