How Long Do I degas For

I made a degassing wand from a plastic coat hanger earlier today I put on end of my electric drill and after adding the stabiliser and finning to my 5 gallon batch of Wilkos Merlot I degassed it for 20 mins. Is this far too long or what? There were still ple:thumb:nty of little white air bubbles on top of wine when I stopped.

20 mins is a long time. Should try 5 to 8 mins about 8 times over 2 days, that should do it.
