Ive heard people saying they use harvested yeast, how do i go about doing that, and is it only worth doing when using an expensive liquid yeast?

the link above is great, though i have in the past I just brewed with the previous slurry if kegging and brewing same day.
Now i collect yeast from the bottom of the fermenter (conical and store a jam jar in the fridge then reuse) if I am going to be doing another brew within the week. Otherwise I don't bother.

How have you got on freezing yeast Jim :hmm:
I've had great success with it Martin, but you do have to be prepared to wait up to 36 hrs for the colonies to appear.
I don't use starters, perhaps I should!
My oldest culture is a TTL at 3 years, still fires up!
