Mine is from the lads at w**k ( i'm into my Koi and Japanese culture ), I lost an eye in a cycling accident and the lads thought it good to combine some old martial arts master ( in the films ) and me together hence the name Grasshopper

The avatar is me half way down Vallee Perdue, in Val d'Isere. One of my other loves is skiing (especially off piste).

Samarith is my regular character name in MMORPGs (massive multiplayer online role playing games), prefer to stare at the backside of a female character for 8 hours a day.

I first played Sam after losing a bet (back in my paper and pen RPG days). The character was so much fun that she's followed me though my online gaming life.

My real name is Chris.

I had a similar experience than Samarith did. It came from MMORPG's. Was looking for a good name for my very first character on WoW, after an hour searching on dictiionary.com for something unusual I found Polymath.

Sadly why i picked this name for a warrior (Runs around with a big sword and heavy armour) I will never know. Should have picked it for my mage (Into magic and spells). But still then the name kinda stuck .... its still something I would like to achieve in real life, a specialist in more than one field of study. Perhaps brewing and computers together would count haha
