Hi All

Just switched from kit to all-grain. House looks like a bombsite, but hopefully the beer will be worth the grief from the other half.

Welcome to the forum...

Just on that switch myself from extract / partials to all grain via BIAB method.

Exciting times. Only hope my first batch tastes as good as it looks.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

hi and welcome , what did you brew/make ?

Hi Pittsy

It was a McMullens AK from the british ales book. Mostly pale ale with a bit of crystal I think and Goldings for bittering and aroma. Seems to be a bit low in sugers when I tested pre boil so added additional spray malt. Wen in the fermenter at about '45 instead of '36 so should have had more faith. Planning on trying again this weekend. Possibly same brew to try and get some sort of constant benchmark so I can see what other hops and malts do.
