I have always brewed kits, followed the instructions to the letter, had some good had some a bit, let’s say not to good, I had a brew with some hop pellets in and when I brewed it, it tasted quite good, now I am about to put a woodfordes wherry down, would I be a complete numpty to put an hop pellet bag in just to see how it tastes, I like the wherry, would I spoil it.

Me personally I would brew the Wherry as a standard kit to see how it is to your taste and then the second brew of wherry you would know if some additional hops would enhance it your liking

You won't spoil a Wherry by adding extra hops done in moderation. I would choose a hop to match the style like EKG or Styrian Goldings or First Gold. Alternatively you could use a a suble citrussy hop like Cascade. Personally I would not use any more than 50g dry hop, its not an AIPA, and my recollection of Wherry is it's very malt forward.

Steeley if you do decide to hop it on the first attempt take Terry's advice and do not over hop it and use a relevant hop preferably one that is used in the brew or a complimentary one that suits the style.
The hops suggested are the ones I would use (these are the types mainly used in Hobgoblin style ales)

Thank you all for your advice , I think I will purchase I hop that terrym, but thanks to you all
