I am a kit brewer and love my stouts, ales and IPA's.....I see a few good hop deals on internet. I am therefore looking for the hope u would say is the most versatile to add to the above. ty

If you are looking to augment a kit you need to look for a dual purpose or aroma hop, and you can then use it in a dry hop.....

Cascade is one of a number of American type hops which is often used to raise the hop profile in a kit (I often use it) , and two of my favourite 'English' hops are First Gold and East Kent Goldings.
