Hops: Pellet vs leaf

only to your hop filter pellets tend to clog them. Also for obvious reasons you dont need as much pellet as whole leaf hops

pellets are stronger as regards in weight per AA but if youve done your calc in AA and not in weight then alls good

Can I assume recipes are usually in terms of leaf and that twice the AA means half the quantity is required?

my books are American (no idea if that means anything) but mine are in pellet although i use leaf best way to do it is use something like this http://beercalculus.hopville.com/recipe and put in your aa of hops then add in gramms until you reach your bittering target then add more for aroma hops to reach your IBU target

p.s in my recipe books bittering is in HBU
