hop substitute

Hi all, just started a london pride for a friends birthday got everything ready and find i haven't any northdown hops left, hop substitution chart says challenger as an alternative,as the recipe (GW) allready has challenger, do i just use the same weight of extra challenger as the northdown. or is there another alternative.

I brew that beer as my staple. I have mist out the northdown and replaced with the challenger before and it doesn't make much difference especially as it is used as a bittering hop.

You can use the hop replacement calculator in ' Calculators' above - this will work out the weight you need based on the AA of the 2 hops in question. :thumb:
