Hello all.

Just wanted to know if any of the more experienced brewers advice.

I have just brewed a copy of ringwood best with cascade hops (35g in 25 litres)

After 2 weeks in corni keg I tried it last night and it smelt grassy!

I have dome 4 or 5 brewer now and never had this hop smell.

Will it go if I leave for a few more weeks

Thanks for any help

Will

Aroma hops - if used in largish quantities can give a 'grassy' smell. When in the boil did you add your 35g of Cascade?
Cascade is a lovely hop - I've used it lots.

I seem to remember reading about an infection that can make the beer smell grassy - errrrm or taste grassy, can't remember as I can't find my notes on infections. Damn vista!

How did it taste? What's the ABV? I would leave it another week and try ... but if it is tasting good .. why worry! :D
