Up until now I've always used hop leaf/flower rather than pellets. Hop use is mostly during the boil but have also used to make a hop tea added during priming.
So I'm considering a dry hop which I’ve only tried once before with not a great outcome. I know hop leaf hold a lot of wort so thinking of trying pellet as I think wort absorption might be less
I don’t want to open the FV to add the hops so am considering putting the pellets in a hop bag that will be “stuck” to the underside of the lid using magnets, that at the appropriate time can be released to let the pellets drop into the beer.
The question is, is there a downside to putting pellets in a hop bag?
