Hop advice needed.....

Hi everyone

Im interested to know, When you boil Hops do you NEED to use hop boiling bags? :wha:
or can you just add the hops and strain them off after? I do use them, and just wondered if i needed to.

I do the same as earthwormgaz, but mine gets poured through a muslin bag and then 'sparged' through with my top up water.

Bags are just handy.

never used a hop bag in 15 years of ag, apart from dry hopping in the primary
