The Hooded Ram is the newest and smallest Brewery based in Douglas on the Isle of Man. They (actually he!) makes several excellent beers ranging from a refreshing 3.7% bitter to a traditional IPA at 6%.

The brewery started up September 2013 and won beer of festival here seven months later!

For me its the best beer made here. My personal favourites are the Jack Ram Stout (4.7%) and the Little King Louis IPA (6%). :drink:

Open tasting day at the brewery every first Friday of the month from 5pm.

14 pubs selling the beer from time to time, about half regularly stock.

I spent 5 weeks on the IoM, November 1981 or 1982 (the Australian RL team were on tour) and stayed just outside Douglas (Onchan?).

The weather was awful, but the beer was fantastic. If this is the best beer on the island it will be bloody good.

It is that good Slid. I normally drink Bushys which is still excellent but this is the bees knees and thorax ;-)

And we've had a great summer this year carrying on today!
