homebrew shops in essex

hi after my first attempt at brewing (long story you my have read in newbie list )im going out to buy a proper kit i dont want to buy online as being a newbie i want advice as well can anyone recomend a shop in this area essex / east london ill be very gratefull....... also info on wot to lookout for wot ill need and expect to pay many thanks in advance :

Not much I am afraid, the one in southend stocks a lot but a hike to get to. I use it in desperation mainly. Wilkos sell a few kits and bits and pieces. Apart from those you will have to go online I am afraid.

The sponsors are good, as are a number of other online shops (see brewing supplies links).

Which bit of essex/east london you from then?

There's May & Bretts Homebrew in Gt Dunmow in Essex (http://www.brewingshop.co.uk) or there's a nice little pharmacy called Laxtons that has a home brew section upstairs, just outside of Essex in Broxbourne just off the A10 http://sitebuilder.yell.com/sb/show.do?id=SB0001559179000010

Bit of a drive but colchester homebrew is great, think their delivery is reasonable too as their sister company is a courier business.
