hi done some home brews before (wine and turbo cider) just want to know what i can get brewed and bottled for xmas thats not going to taste bad and is reasonably strong 4-5%+ preferably a beer.

you probably wont get a 4% beer ready for Christmas and certainly not a 5% one.
If you are talking good beer that is.
Otherwise bang a kit on keep it around 26 C for a week get it racked off. leave another few days then bottle and condition it.
You will have a great hangover at Christmas....
and probably the squits as well....
