Have been brewing various kits since November 2011.
I used to brew over 30 years ago but stopped for some strange reason, mind you, the kits way back then were really rubbish so maybe that was the reason :D

Welcome to the forum

Yes, I used to brew over 30 years ago but gradually stopped. Got some qualifications, got a job, no wife, no kids, no mortgage, could afford to go out whenever I wanted and didn't need to brew my own.

Got wed 21 years ago, bought house, kids came along and gradually got more and more expensive to keep. Eldest now away at Uni, other one 3 years behind him, we're skint again, I resumed winemaking & brewing in 2009.

Mind you, the kits way back then really were rubbish and ‘homebrew’ still hasn't quite shaken off the negative preconceptions.

With the aid of this forum, and now I've crossed over to full mash All Grain brewing, I regret not knowing about this before.

I've been on the forum for a while but never actually said hi to anyone.

Soo....

Hello.

I've been brewing for over a year now. I don't know what got me thinking about brewing but I'm glad I did. At first the thoughts were just my own, then as I started questioning about homebrewing it turns out that my own mum and dad used to brew when they were younger. My dad told me kits were a load of sh*te back then too. Although he seems pretty happy drinking what I make.
