Hi people, i'm new to this site and also new to home brewing. My name is Dean and I live in the South Wales area. I'm a coach driver, hence why I'm wrting this and trying my brew at such a strange hour. I've just got back from a short tour and have the weekend off
I've made 2 kits so far, the first being a 'Geordie' lager and the second being Cooper's Stout. The lager was alright but the stout is something special. I've been reading in silence for a few days and already picked up a few useful tips ( many thanks :
), especilly the one about drinking after just a few days after bottling!!!
This brew has been bottled since Monday (4 days) and am trying the first few now. I followed the instructions for this kit, ie 1kg white sugar 23l etc. and it is really, really nice. However I will be brewing another this weekend but using the muscavado/treacle combo I've seen on here.
Many thanks for the tips I've already picked up and look forward to chatting with and learning from you all
Cheers,
Dean
