Hi Aaron

Welcome to the forum.

I personally prefer beer from a bottle. What has happened is that some bottles have fizzed more than others it could be a number of things including some bottles getting warmer than others, but the most likely answer is that some bottles have got more sugar than others.

The best solution to this is to transfer your beer to a spare bucket then add sugar dissolved in hot water to the beer at a rate of 7 grams per litre of beer, give it a gentle but thorough stir and then bottle. Once you have bottled leave them somewhere warm preferably at fermentation temp 18-21c for a week then somewhere cool for about 4 weeks. You should have relatively evenly carbonated beer.

Barrels are Ok but you pay for what you get. They can go flat as time goes on with basic ones but the best system is Corni Kegs but a set up can be expensive. If you search the website using the search facility you should find plenty of information.
