I’m a new member to the forums, had a 2 year lay off after a bad experience with a coopers starter kit , and that put me off for a while . But anyway, recently I thought about giving it another go , so I bought some new gear. After looking into things , I bought the balliihoo premium starter kit with the st.peters golden ale. I’ll Get to the point and tell you that this was the best decision I made and I couldn’t be more happy with this kit. I did however sand down the top of the keg lip , and bought a sprinkler tap as well. So come to brewing day , I sanitised everything as usual, mixed the tin contents , added hop sachet , topped up to 22ltrs. The added yeast at 20deg. so fast forward a couple of weeks and I’ve pulled a pint off and all looks good, the keg is holding pressure and no leeks. I’m so happy with this I’ve bought another king keg from balliihoo and a st.peters stout. I’ve put pressure gauges on them as well, cause I like to glance at what the pressure is. So can’t wait till the stout develops. Oh by the way the Young’s heat belt is awesome and also the auto syphon. I’m even thinking about buying another keg.

Welcome back! Glad your brewing is going well and your enjoying it! acheers.
