Hi all,

I'm new to this forum although not new to wine making itself. For the last five or six years I've been making country wines using fresh fruit that I've either bought or picked.

I've been browsing this forum for the last month or so seeing what you guys have been up to and finally joined a few days ago when I decided to give WOW a try.

I've done a couple of beer brews in the past using the natural ingredients but I'm not a big beer drinker. I've also recently bought a couple of California Connoiseur red wine kits to try out which are currently fermenting away merrily.

Anyway, looking forward to helping out here where I can and am also very grateful for any advice or assistance given to me.

Cheers!

Darren

Welcome to the forums, Dpile1.

I went with the CalCon Cabernet Sauvignon as my first kit on my return to brewing, it makes a very nice red wine.

Amusingly, a friend's wife prefered it to a £20 bottle Chateau Neuf de Pap. I think that's more down to her palate than my brewing skill though.

Welcome to the forum, :thumb:
Funnily enough im currently reading a book about the Bideford witch trials. Ok thats got nothing to do with brewing but its still an interesting book.

Yep, I Believe the last witches ever executed in England came from Bideford! They lived in a house right round the corner from me!

Bideford's one and only claim to fame! Lol

Some people will disagree with you there, as some records state that alice molland was the last person to be hanged for witchcraft in England, altho there is no written recordthat the sentence was carried out.

Hey!
I grew up in Bideford.. so you're just around the corner from Oldtown eh?

I moved away when I was 24 to go to uni. I'll be back in Biddy week after next to visit my parents and brother!

Nice to meet you!

Oh .. and as for claims to fame: The old bridge has arches all of different sizes :D
