:drink:

Well where do i begin, it all started when the wife drinks more than me, it costs a small fortune....

So i decided to startup the mini brew and make it faster than she can drink. that was the idea anyway..

unless i can pickup a few tips shes going to out drink my buckets..

Q1. How much T&L Golden Syrup should be used in a Coopers Mexican cervaizia.

Q2. What / how much should i put in each pint bottle at bottling time..

Q3. (BONUS ROUND) Lets say i cocked up on day 1 and used 1 small tin of T&L 435g and realised not an afull lot was happening jn the bucket so added a 2nd tin on day 2. (carefully of course) what would happen. whats the damage that i have just caused.

Hey Cyberbrew welcome to the forum.
I cant answer your questions but lots of people on here do and they will be around soon to help, but it sounds like your having fun, and thats the main part.

Hi,

1)Are you only using golden syrup as a added fermentable sugar? It's been a while since I have done a kit but I think you will need 1Kg of sugar. Golden syrup is about 80% fermentable so you would need 1250g of syrup if that's all you are using.I have never used golden syrup like this so I couldn't advise you on the effects of using this much in a brew. If your after the taste then you'd be better off using brewing sugar or much better still using dried mat extract initially, then priming your bottles with golden syrup or a mixture os syrup and sugar.

2) It sounds like your going to prime the bottles directly rather than batch priming, for a pint bottle you will need about 1/2 a teaspoon of sugar, so again you'd need slightly more if using syrup. It would be easier to batch prime so you could accuratley work this out.

3) Flavour wise I couldn't comment though I doubt it would be undrinkable. You would however end up with a higher ABV.
