Hi to all.

Joined really to get some advice on cider making (or maybe even cider vinegar, explained below) but i've always had thoughts about brewing some beer so may give that a go now i have the kit.

so intro

My partner runs a small preserve business making jams and chutneys. She tends to buy a lot of fruit and veg from the market. it is a small operation and occasionally some get wasted. We ended up with a load of apples this year. Mainly donations from friends and neighbours with apple trees. We ended up with quite a few surplus, even to much to juice. so i thought i'd give cider a go. sitting at breakfast one weekend i grabbed the laptop and google cider making. what also came up was a cider vinegar making. this is quite and expensive ingredient to chutneys, so that is why i might go that way. all depend on how the cider tastes i guess.
No doubt i'll have loads of questions to ask, already popped one in the cider discussions section

Cheers
