Hello all. I'm an all-grain brewer from Camb's ( 3-vessel and 20L Speidel Braumeister ), who's been lurking on this forum for a good while.

Regards

John

Welcome, where in Cambs? I'm from the not so sunny Peterborough.

Can you speak Polish?

Lived down Vere Road not so long ago - it was almost a requirement then. Hasn't changed much from the little I saw at Xmas when I did the annual return visit.+

Nice work on getting out!

No don't speak the local language, only go into the centre to visit the tap/charters/coalies or the train station. Other than that i keep myself to the south of the city.

Was brought up north side myself (Gunthorpe), though the olds owned the Bang & Olufsen building in town (opposite Westgate house almost) back in the day. They lived in Woodston, New Road I think. Is Bang and Olufsen still there? It used to be Walters the Stationers too in the past, if you're old enough to remember that. Had a chain of cobblers, a couple in Stamford and Grantham too I think.

Cheers for the warm welcome.

@HopWroester - I live in Hemingford Grey, a pretty little village near St Ives.

@Hoddy - I guess I'm just modest ! Seriously, I'm not sure I'm 100% sold on automated brewing, nice as the Braumeister is ( and my beer has improved using it ). Maybe I'm a bit of a Luddite, but I still enjoy a brewday with the old 3V system.
