Hi there

Just joined and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Mouse, I live in Leeds, UK.

I love brewing my own beer. I'm more of an ale man myself, and love hoppy brews, but enjoy all sorts of beer. All my beers have come from extract kits so far, but I've just got my first all grain kit and plan to move on to grain brewing from recipes as soon as possible. I "took a break" from brewing for a few years while married to the soon-to-be-ex-wife (the less said the better) but am now back with a vengeance.

I am also in the process of building my own bar setup from an old fridge and freezer, probably with a worktop (preferably oak, I like oak) and a wooden frame. I have several cornys and a jury-rigged setup with a beer engine and a lager tap, CO2 supplied from disposable welding gas bottles.

I have always been a brew-and-drink man, and never had the patience to leave any for any length of time. I plan to change this, labelling and keeping a few bottles from each batch to build a collection.

Outside brewing, I'm a biker and love cars. I'm also a complete, unashamed geek, programming and messing with computers for a living and for fun. I'm also a member of a local am-dram group and love to sing.

Phew, that's done. Just off to find the right area to post a new idea I have had and get some feedback. Cheerio

Welcome...I wish I could be a little more patient

Welcome to the forum.

I'm not very patient either when it comes to beer. I like milds and ordinary bitters and one of the benifits of making lower ABV% beers is they're ready to drink sooner. Problem is they're so much more sessionable. My last ordinary bitter,(3.3%ABV), which I made about 60x330ml bottles of, lasted two weeks
