What can i say but this is a top site, i have been mooching for a while and just had to join up as just a few days ago i got myself a load of gear to start brewing again, i have been saying for months that i will give it a go again and as i had a few quid to hand i got some of the bay, also today i got a Mangers strawberry cider kit as i am a cider lover to the heart, saying that i am fed up with buying strongbow :|, and decent shop bought cider is getting expensive.
I have read about the Magnum kits and i agree with it that when i got it i was disapointed that all the strawberry was is a small sachet, oh well i will see how it goes this weekend, well in a few weeks.
One thing i will be trying is the Ginger beer, i love the stuff, just need to find out how much the ginger costs, tell the truth i am spoilt for choice on what to brew now i have found this place :thumb:
By the way i am wayne, you probabley get that from my user name :D i live in north Manchester and strangley enough have not long cut back on my drinking days and now decided to brew my own :D , i dont think this is going to work is it :D

I have a few Q`s for you folk which i will put up on the forum if the search doesnt come up with anything.

Well hope to be about for a good while aslong as i can see the keyboard in a month or so :thumb:

party on

Thanks all for the welcome :D , i have my first Question actualy before i shoot of to work
I work for a business that supplys pub gas, so easy one, can i rig a cylinder to pressurise a barrle instead of the tiny one shot Co2 cartridges, also if so how do i go about it.

Party on dooods, soon be friday :drunk:

Welcome to the forums.

Get a cheap pair of cornie kegs from Norm on ebay, they come with a pair of the disconnects. If the gaslines don't match then there's probably a John Guest fitting to connect them.

welcome to the forum firstly if you like cider try a turbo cider just cartons of pure apple juice from concentrate and yeast you can tweak to your own taste secondly the barrels arnt really worth fitting co2 cylinders to stick with the small hambleton bard style bottles go for the cornys they hold much more pressure than plastic

look in the links section at the top of the page you will find morm alternativly you can try hamstead home brew they do cornys with s30 fittings and sparkler taps fitted bit more expensive but good
