i have set away a carafe 21 wine kit away but fogot to take a og
it will be at a constant 18c just wondering what sort of alcohol level this kit would be and by adding more suger does that up the alco level :wha:

I can't comment on your kit as I don't make kit wines. I have only tried a couple of Beaverdale single gallons and they both came out in the 12-13% abv range.

Adding more sugar would increase the alcohol level but might upset the balance of the wine, so go sparingly. An extra 200g in the gallon would give another 2%.

also meant to say i thought i would go the full hog with a 25lt kit,its got a little character allready as its in the sitting room wrapped in a coat to keep temp up during the night...spooky :rofl:
