I've been mulling over controllers for many days now and have come no closer to actually deciding what to get. I'm itching to get going yet all the choices seem to involve ridiculous delivery times from US or China.
Auber is looking the most promising and quality of the lot so far and on the budget side of things the 1512 looks the best. Is this going to be sufficient to run my HERMS set up? I plan on having a copper coil in a kettle driven by an SSR from the controller.
Secondly regarding the probe.. I know the best location is right at the exit of the heat exchanger but have no idea how to do this. Aubers' probes have NPT threads and I have found a T piece on BES http://www.bes.co.uk/products/149b.asp which has a BSP thread on one side. This would be perfect apart from the obvious issue of the incompatibility of threads. Anyone got any better plans?
Thirdly... Is an on/off controller suitable for controlling an HLT? Or would a PID be best for this too?
Thanks!
