Hi everyone, new to the forum as a member, but use the site for advice.

I am in need of your help and guidance. I recently bought a Coleman cool box as by watching videos seemed good place to do.my mashing from.

I have bought fittings and not really sure how it all goes together.

I drilled a 15mm hole in the box, however the fitting is not long enough to come the other end.

Please give me your advice.

Although been brewing for two years we have only done two mashes, so a few other questions to add.

I think you have three options.
  1. Look for a longer tank connector that will reach through to the outside.
  2. Clear a larger hole on the outside so that the tank connector only fits to the inner wall. This may give you the best seal of all and least leakage, though may look less pleasing to the eye.
  3. Buy a female to female fitting that will extend the tank connector. You may have to cut this fitting or the tank connector or both down to size to be able to compress the inner and out skin of the coolbox sufficiently to make a good seal.
