Got a Woodfordes Wherry on the go for my first brew, its at 1.021 from 1.041 after three days so happy with the fermentation, however the tap looks like it is full of sediment and well gunged up.

Should i transfer to another FV before bottling as dont want to get any of the sediment in the bottles if i can help it?

Also the fermentation head looks nice and white and frothy in general however there is a large darker (poo looking) patch starting on one side of the top?

Any help much appreciano!!

Thats all perfectly normal, i started with the same kit, you will get alot of sediment in the tap, some of that will go into your bottles if you bottle using the tap. I bottled this way for my first five brews and got alot of good beers but i now have a separate bottling bucket with little bottler which also allows me to batch prime. The coopers starter kit is a great way to start though and you can add to it as you go along if you chose to
