Right guys i think i have all the bits i need for my fermentation fridge but im a bit of an idiot when it comes to wiring it up
1 I have a TC10 with enclosure
2 I have a tube heater 1ft 60watt
3 fridge
My questions are firstly the tc 10 hasnt got an earth connection and my heat tube says it must be connected to an earth ?
Im planning on drilling through the top of the fridge for the probe to be located inside
im also planning on fitting the tube heater horizontally at the bottom of the fridge
so now this is where i get confused do i hard wire the fridge and the heat tube directly o the TC10 if so what do i do with the earth wires ? obviously im going to have to replace the heat tube wire with a longer one as its ony about 2ft long im planning on siting the tc10 on top of the fridge which is 6ft
ive been searching the forum for wiring diagrams and have come up with stc1000 but not the tc 10
am i going to be better to buy a twin socket with enclosure then wire the tc10 to each of the sockets and then simply plug the fridge and heat tube into that ?
I dont fancy loads of wires dangling down the side of the fridge
Have i missed anything ?

A lot of folk do just that so it can all be dismantled easily, handy if you want to get rid/sell of the fridge at a later date without the wires having been chopped. Good to hear you got it sorted
EDIT
whats the difference between the stc1000 and the tc10? - I want to do this in the near future and can only see stc1000's on ebay?
Not a lot really, the TC10 seems to have died a death though, with STC1000 becoming the 'norm'.

Hi Eddie,
Twin or "double" sockets only have 1 set of terminals for Live ,Neutral and Earth.
You won't be able to wire each socket seperately.
you need 2 seperate single sockets.
