Hi there, first post here! I'm attempting my first all grain batch, and as mentioned in the subject I've used too much priming sugar, 600g instead of 60g!! Any ideas what I should do? Is the beer ruined? Many thanks in advance!

brew not ruined but it will be fermenting again , i would transfer to a clean fv until fermented out then back to keg with new amount of sugar , never mind it will be stronger but most likely ok

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I'll do that now, do you think i'll need to pitch some more yeast? Thanks

Thanks, back in the fermentor now, I'm at about 20litres now, lost a couple messing about, would it be ok to top it up with a litre or two of water to increase final volume? Soz for all the questions! Cheers

up to you but 600g of sugar will increase your og by 10 points

Yeh, thing is thats a lot of points to just come from sugar (assuming its an average grain bill) which may make it a bit thinnish already, so then to add water too.......
