I want to start filling my HLT with an hosepipe I use for brewing, the pipe has a standard hoselock type fitting on the end..
I have a 15mm gate valve on the HLT that'll need some bits from BES any idea's for the best things to buy?

Thx

BB

Hope I understood this correctly otherwise the following won't make sense.

The above will get you to 3/4" female on the hozelock end.

The male thread on the gate valve will be 1/2" BSP (if you remove the nut and olive), then it's just a question of one fitting and some PTFE thread tape and a reducing bush below.

You can get all of this from B+Q or screwfix subject to stock

Good luck and don't be shy with the PTFE Tape

If I'm understanding correctly what you're after, I did this for my IC (see bottom of photo):

The connections are fitted by combining these tap connectors with these 15mm x 3/4" male couplers (I think those links are to the right sizes, anyway!).

You may also be able to step up the thread on the ball valve to 3/4" with a reducing bush and avoid the need for the intervening pipe and 15mm-3/4" adaptor (I seem to be remembering that 15mm compression ball valves have a 1/2" BSP thread) but I'm not sure if my memory is reliable on that one.

EDIT: haha! - beaten to it!

Cheers
