Hi, I'm new to this and need some advice. I have a 25 litre 7 day wine kit and it's still bubbling every 20 secs even after 12 days. What should I do? Initially I had issues maintaining the temp so I bought a belt for the bucket and it was going great. Do I proceed to the next step or wait a while longer? TIA
 
Welcome to the forum and your new hobby Alison.

First of all ignore any kits that suggest they will be done in 7 days this is false advertising most of us find having fallen for it they take up to two weeks for fermentation to finish then another two for clearing, your heat belt will help in winter but as there is no automatic heat control make sure it stays below 30c.

If you have a hydrometer see what it reads if you haven't get one without this you can only guess at what stage fermentation is, don't stop fermentation until it gets to .995 or lower.

Do not take a lack of bubbles in the airlock as being an indication fermentation has fished many plastic fermenters are not 100% airtight.

Spot on advice from Chippy get a hydrometer if you have not already and let it run until finished as close to .995 as possible it will be better for it than rushing it as the wine kits are well renown for getting brewers to think it will be ready to drink quicker than it really is.
Time is your friend in brewing beer or wine and you will get a better product at the end.
