Help making a re circulation pump

Although the LED driver controlled the flow pretty well the controller or the pump screamed loudly (very annoying sound) and I lost some flow at maximum. Anyway,Well I was thinking I might just restrict the pipe by mechanical crimping? I’m too tight to buy a 1/2 ball valve. Planning to use the sight glass tube as the overflow drain as I hacked a connection to the tap. Also Added a slot for the solar pump mounting.

Depends how/if you want to control flow. I use a Guagemaster model railway controller to vary the speed of the pump. They’re a bit expensive new but you can pick them up on the bay. Others prefer to run at 12 Vdc and control flow using a tap.
