Hi Folks, :thumb:

I just want to know if anyone uses an anti foam inhibitor like what they have in the States ' Fermcap-S', if anyone does use such a product here in the UK, what's it called and where can I get hold of some :wha: , any help will be greatfully recieved.

I'm about to do my first ever AG brew called 'Way to Amirilo' so looking forward to that just a bit warry about 'boil overs' and I hear Fermcap-S is brilliant to stop these boil overs

I make up the Antifoam and put it in a sprayer . . . it really helps stop boilovers . . . you can see me using it in the videos on my website

Where did you get your FD20P Antiform as having trouble finding an actual stockist as it seems Brupak dont sell directly :(
I noticed a thread that you did about 2 years ago, ( did an internet search for the FD20P Antiform and there was only 2 hits and they were your posts  ), I wouldn't have thought of spraying it as it boiling. Thank you for all your help it is appreciated

Hop and GrapeSell it . . .as does The Homebrew Shop I got mine directly from Murphys . . . but you don't want/need 5L of it and if it costs 5 quid for 250ml . . . you can imagine how much a 5L container costs.

you need a couple of ml in 500ml of warm water . . . in the sprayer, then as the boil starts to foam you spray it into the boiler . . . foam . . .goes . . . sorted. . . . It can also be used during aeration to control excessive foaming as well.

Great :thumb: will give them a try, if you require 5L you must be running a brewery and that must cost in the region 0f £60 - £80, thats some serious brewing  thanks again for your help
