It's Stephen, moley.... just looked at the bookshelf, and "adrian mole" was the first book I saw..

Oh, quick question, is this ok for an absolute beginner to home brewing, but a longtime real ale lover ?

just looked at the bookshelf, and "adrian mole" was the first book I saw.

A girlfriend was reading that when we first met, hence my ‘handle’. It backfired because she then became Mrs. Mole.


Do a bit of reading on the forum and try to decide if you would want to keg or bottle your beers. If you think the pressure barrel is the way you'd like to go, then that starter kit has everything you would need at a fair price.

It would be fine for an absolute beginner, because you've now got a 24/7 helpline.

Whatever timescale they suggest on that ebay listing, double it, and then some.
