Hi everyone,

I've just bought myself a starter set and am going to attempt my first brew in a week or so! I've joined to get some tips before brewday to hopefully avoid any rookie errors

Looking forward to getting involved on the forums,

Hi welcome to the forum , you can improve your kit by first disregarding your instructions on what temp to ferment at and time to leave it alone .
You need to brew your beer at 18/20c and the more constant the better.
You also need to leave the brew at 18/20c for around 10 to 14 days before bottling or kegging .
Have a good read on the how to guide some very useful tips , good luck with it . :thumb:

Welcome to the forum

There is a very good how-to on beer kits, worth a read :thumb:

Thanks for the welcome chaps! I had a read of the guides and found them really useful :thumb: My FV is now bubbling away merrily; it's going to have to stay in there for 3wks before bottling unfortunately as I'm away, but a bit of googling reassured me that it should be ok!
