Hello the forum.
So as per the registration instructions here's a quick intro, if only to ensure the "machine" doesn't think I'm a spam-happy non-person. Thing.
I'm a reasonably old head on young shoulders who stumbled into brewing as a new hobby. A colleague was talking about it, it seemed interesting so I picked up a starter kit online; the one that comes with the "Woodfordes Wherry" kit and all the equipment (which I imagine is how a lot of people start).
Turned out ok so I branched out.
Oddly I'm not that into Ales (though I'm starting to get into them) and as a result I'm currently looking into flavoured ales. Sure this will change as I get a taste for ales.
My second kit, just before Christmas 2012, was a coopers Ginger Ale, and with advice from this forum I added bits to it to make it more gingery. I'm drinking a pint as I write this and it's not half bad :)
Currently I have a St Peters Golden Ale on the go, and have JUST branched out into wines; Carrot Whiskey bubbling away very nicely. If it tastes like it smells I may never need to drink anything else ever again
Looking for a decent Apricot wine....sure ill find one soon.
Anyway. Felt I should register for the forum which has given me so much advice. You never know, maybe I'll be able to contribute one day.
