Hi I have been brewing since last summer. Only kit brews at the moment but can’t help adding extras to them for better or sometimes worse. Gradually upgrading fermenters, hoping to get some stainless steel this year.
Need to keep saving for some gear to go full grain.

Hi there! I'm just down the road from you in Wellow! Nice to have a local face on here 😄
Looks like you’re a much more experienced brewer than me. I want to invest in some gear to go full grain like you.?How many brews do you make a year and is the grainfather kit worth the extra over Klarstein and the other alternatives.

I've been brewing for a little under 20 years now. Most of that has been in plastic kit, a coolbox as a mash tun with a towel thrown over it etc. I got a Grainfather (G30) a couple of years ago now and am very happy with it. I probably brew about 12 times a year.

Is it worth the extra over Klarstein? That's entirely subjective. There have been quite a few threads on the topic. I would say that (like most things) it depends on what you can afford and what your budget is. For me, it was definitely worth it but I can completely agree the less expensive models without the bells and whistles are more value for money.

Grainfather or not? has some questions and answers on the topic. There are quite a lot of youtube videos comparing the different models, grainfather, klarstein, brewzilla etc.
