Hiya guys another newbie here!
I'm Phil from Leeds, 25 years old and just more or less been introduced to home brewing!
I'm a moderator over on mg-rover.org so I'm pretty used to how the whole forum thing works :)
I must stress that when I say "brewing", I use the term loosely. I was given a brupaks brubox as a birthday present a couple of months or so ago. It came with the London bitter kit with it and my first attempt wasn't brilliant I've got to say.
Main problems I can find with it so far is that I didn't leave it long enough to ferment fully, and didn't bottle it (drunk it straight from the bag in which it was fermented in).
Anyway I've learnt from that one, and bought myself a bottle capper and started collecting some bottles!
I've just set up my second batch and this time I'm going for a Pilsner (another brupaks 10 litre kit - Czech pilsner).
Hopefully I'll have better results with it being bottle conditioned.
So far so good anyway it's fermenting away nicely in the cold spare room and it's at about 15-17 degrees.
I'm hoping after this batch I'm going to find some room and get a couple of 40pt fermenting bins instead as it'll give me a much wider variety of kits to choose from and possibly even go the full grain method after I'm comfortable with that.
Looking forward to getting to know a few of you on here to learn more about this :
Phil.
