Hi all,

Instead of lurking I purchased a kit, got it fermenting and I'm now reading up on how it's done!

It should be a St. Peters Golden ale and I initially intended on barrelling it but I'm now wondering if I should bottle instead- the wait will kill me.

As for beers I enjoy myself, I love a Fullers London Pride and a Skinners Betty Stogs. Can't say I'm a fan of the overly hoppy craft ale movement! Probably sacrilege saying that....

This is ambitious but I would like to grow the majority of the ingredients on farm (I do already grow barley) as well as brewing it but I'll continue learning in small steps and see where it takes me.

Looking forward to picking your brains when the time arises!

Best, Ed

Welcome to the forum.

The advantage of brewing your own is that you can brew what you like rather than what everybody else likes :D

I like the idea of growing all of your own ingredients.
