Hi Benson welcome what you brewing ??? now you started you cant stop :thumb:

just finished my first brew of lager, something went wrong somewhere! it tastes odd.
It was called geordie beer, I have a barrel rather then bottles. I am going to bottle the lot and leave it in the garage for a few more weeks, see if it improves but I don't hold out much hope.
Moving over to a real ale (this one is coopers australian real ale) also brought a beer kit enhancer 500g dried malt + 500g glucose. Using VWP steriliser and a 60 pint bucket with a valve thing on top.
Any advise most welcome.
Thanks for the warm welcome

Benson

hi , yeah add more malt and leave out the sugar (brew enhancer is mostly sugar too) That tinny cider ish taste is cuz of sugar , there is enough sugar in malt and it adds body and flavour also colour too depending on if its light, medium or dark , i'd go for 1500g of malt poss a light
