Hey how's it going!

My name's Matt, I'm new to homebrewing. Last weekend I bottled my first ever brew - "Block Party" a kit from Northern Brewer in the US. Not sure that's gonna turn out so well but we'll see in a week or two.

But since I've got the gear I'm gonna take the plunge - I've already ordered some grain etc to have a go following clibit's "Have a go at simple AG". What could possibly go wrong.....

I'm an aeronautical engineer by trade and spent a lot of my time thinking about heat and fluid flows - so all the stuff about mixing hot & cold water when you mash, how to design a manifold for your mash tun... this stuff is not so far removed from the day job.

Well, that's the theory - guess we'll see...

Cheers,

Matt

Welcome to the team Matt.

Dont forget that you are not that far away from the Home Brew Shop in Farnborough so you could always drop in their to pick up all kinds of HB goodies clapa

Ask away on here as we always try to be a helpful bunch.

Welcome Matt, Not sure what part of Berkshire your from, but if you want pure beer **** you should pop over the the West Berkshire Brewery tap room. You can sit therewith your pint gazing at there state of the art shiny brewery.. You sound like you'd love looking at all the techy stuff I don't understand:cheers3:

Put it this way, I live pretty much in the middle between the trendy craft beer of Siren Craft Brewery, and the traditional old man beer of Bingham's Brewery - plenty of room in my life for both styles!

Will check out WBB sometime acheers.

Lucky man I love the Siren beer, going to one of there tap room nights is on my to do list..

Welcome fellow Berkshire'ite!

As Hoddy says, I popped in there recently for a bucket upgrade (rah), and ended up with a few more bits! But oddly I never seem to get enough.
